Public consultation on the review and definition of the cartography of the Preferred Flow Zones associated with various sections of ARPSIs 9, 11, 12, 16 and 19 of the Segura Hydrographic Demarcation (File INFO 181/2024).

On March 11, 2025, the President of the Segura Hydrographic Confederation O.A., in accordance with the provisions of article 10.2 of Royal Decree 903/2010, of July 9, on the evaluation and management of flood risks, and in article 14.ter of Royal Decree 849/1986, of April 11, approving the Regulations of the Public Hydraulic Domain, resolved to proceed with the opening of a period of public consultation of the review and definition of the cartography of the Preferred Flow Zones associated with various sections of the ARPSIs 9, 11, 12, 16 and 19 of the Segura Hydrographic Demarcation.

In relation to the ARPSIs 9, 11, 12 and 16, through publication in the BOE of June 7, 2022 (BOE num. 135) the cartography of the Preferred Flow Zones of various sections of these ARPSIs was already submitted for public information. As a result of this public information process, said cartography was modified so that in these ARPSIs it was detected that there were Preferred Flow Zones that had not been submitted to public information. These areas, which were not initially submitted to public information, were not approved, and therefore were not included in the current cartography of Preferred Flow Zones published in the National System of Cartography of Flood Zones (SNCZI). In the current process, the Preferred Flow Zones of various sections of these ARPSIs are submitted to public information, but exclusively with regard to the areas that were not initially included in the public information process initiated on June 7, 2022.
