The 1987 Flood Defense Plan.

The Segura basin has historically been an example of territory hit by violent floods, against which society has fought with all available means.

As a framework to define and regulate the actions aimed at reducing the effects of these floods, various defense works plans have been drawn up over time, among which the Defense Plan against avenues in the Segura basin stands out. 1987, whose author is José Bautista Martín.

Through the Royal Decree Law 4/1987 of November 13 its execution was ordered and the execution deadlines and the corresponding financial commitments were established to bring it to out.
