Stretches-A,-B-and-C

Sections A, B and C

SECTION A has its source at the main diversion outlet dam, on the River Segura, at level 133; it operates using a free fall system with a water flow of 30 cu.m/sec and a gradient of 0.0001%.

For the first 7 km. Open-air canal sections alternate with tunnels designated a, b, c and e; after crossing road N-301, it is reduced to a single canal, except for tunnel e, located at km. 18.100, which is 4 km long. SECTION B commences at the exit to the aforementioned tunnel, in which the section of the canal changes, but not the volume, until it reaches El Partidor at km. 30.750. SECTION C runs from the right side of El Partidor to La Pedrera reservoir.
