Communications

For the transmission/reception/interrogation of hydrological data, hydrological and intruder alarms in huts as well as for the surveillance of the state of the equipment, the main communications system used has been designed in FM in the UHF waveband, with a ring general interconnection network and a star sub-network. The current network also has some control points outside of the area of coverage, which are linked by VSAT (Very Small Aperture Terminal).

In order to guarantee verbal communication in extraordinary situations, when problems of communication occur with the existing operators, and in ordinary situations of operation among the CHS personnel located at different points in the basin where important data has to be registered, there is a network in VHF and radio links between repeaters in UHF.
